On the morning of January 19, 2025, in Prague, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with leaders of 10 outstanding businesses owned by Vietnamese people in the Czech Republic and across Europe.
Mr. Phạm Ngọc Chữ, Vice President of the European Union of Vietnamese Business Associations, Chairman of the Hungary-Vietnam Trade and Cultural Development Support Center, and Chairman of DC Handel Kft, had the honor of being included in the group of 10 outstanding businesses in Europe.
Mr. Phạm Ngọc Chữ represented companies specializing in labor supply in Hungary, Europe, and Vietnam, as well as numerous Hungarian businesses employing Vietnamese workers. During the meeting, he delivered a brief three-minute speech to the Prime Minister, highlighting the issue of the Hungarian government temporarily suspending the issuance of D-type labor visas for Vietnamese workers.
The primary reason cited was the absence of a signed agreement between Hungary and Vietnam regarding the repatriation of Vietnamese nationals who violate local laws, while such agreements have already been signed with the Czech Republic and Poland.
The Prime Minister attentively listened and expressed full support. He pledged to instruct the relevant ministries to promptly address and resolve this issue immediately after the delegation returns to Vietnam.
