Visa C: This is a short-term visa with a maximum duration of 90 days and cannot be extended in Hungary (once expired, the holder must return to Vietnam to apply for a new visa). Visa C is typically issued for purposes such as family visits, tourism, and business negotiations. Holders of a Visa C cannot apply for a long-term residence permit in Hungary.

Visa D: This is a long-term visa that allows the holder to apply for a residence permit in Hungary, with a validity period of 2 to 5 years. It can be renewed directly in Hungary without the need to return to Vietnam. Visa D is usually granted for purposes such as long-term employment, investment, family reunification, academic research, and medical treatment.
