Workers who want to work in Hungary need to apply for a work permit and long-term residence permit in the form of a labor visa, expressed by a labor visa D. There are 2 forms of visa application:

* Traditional visa: workers need to apply for a Consular interview schedule. Once scheduled, they go directly to the Hungarian Embassy in Hanoi or the Hungarian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City for an interview, fingerprinting and photo taking. Usually, after 70-90 days, there will be a notification of the results.

+ Interview in Vietnamese, with interpreter support.

* Direct visa or E-visa: workers only need to sign a power of attorney in Vietnam. Previously, this power of attorney had to be signed at the Embassy, ​​but now they only need to sign at home and scan and send a copy to Hungary. The application will be submitted directly online to the Enter Hungary system. Usually, there will be a notification of the results after 10-50 days. Upon receiving the decision to have a D work visa, the worker will go to the Embassy to have their fingerprints taken and can receive the visa right there (if the worker has prepared a plane ticket and 1-month travel insurance) or about 1 week later.
