I. Basic Information
The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS) is one of the oldest and largest centers for physical education and sports science in Budapest, Hungary. Founded in 1925, the university offers programs ranging from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees in the fields of sports and physical education. HUSS collaborates with many countries worldwide, including Vietnam, partnering with Ho Chi Minh City University of Sports and Da Nang University of Sports.
Students from HUSS have won numerous medals at the Olympics, Paralympics, and European sports competitions. Notable alumni include Máté Kock (Bachelor’s degree in Sports Coaching), who won the gold medal in Olympic fencing in 2024 and was the world fencing champion in 2023; Luca Ekler (Master’s degree in Professional Sports Coaching at HUSS), who won the gold medal in the Paralympic long jump in 2020 and 2024, and the silver medal in the 400m Paralympic endurance run in 2024.
